Vaccine registration for the elderly in Bangkok
Despite the fact that the elderly are among the first groups targeted to receive Covid-19 shots in Thailand, many are still left in waiting to get either an appointment, let alone a vaccine.
However, 100 hospitals in Bangkok will soon open up their doors just to the elderly for them to finally get their shots. This comes as good news after Mor Prom has already closed vaccine registration for senior residents.
Here’s what the announcement says.

100 hospitals in Bangkok to open vaccine registration or the elderly
Elderly residents will soon be able to register for Covid-19 vaccines at over 100 hospitals in Bangkok, said Bangkok Metropolitan Administration at a meeting on 14th June 2021. Senior citizens can now contact these hospitals directly to register for their shots and have their appointments confirmed.
The meeting includes representatives from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Ministry of Public Health, and hospital organisations.

The hospitals that will open up their vaccine registrations to senior residents will include both public and private hospitals, as well as university, army, and police hospitals, according to Thai PBS.
However, as the details are still being discussed, please stay tuned for further updates.
Thailand vaccine rollout continues
Although Thailand may be facing a little trouble on the availability of vaccine doses, it is still moving towards its goal of herd immunity.
With hospitals now ready to receive the elderly, we hope that this will bring a good news to those with big families.
