Thailand extended its COVID-19 lockdown for another month through June, which is sure to further affect businesses nationwide.

However, the Office of the National Economics and Social Development Council launched a plan to support the Thai travel and tourism industry with the idea of providing discount coupons for accommodation fees.

Hotel and resort discounts from 40-50% will be offered around July or at the end of this year, when it is hoped that the COVID-19 situation will stabilise. The initiative also aims to encourage people to be open to travelling once again, which will boost the economy as well.

For now, it’s best to stay put and wait for more updates, but we can’t wait to start travelling once again!
