Itā€™s safe to assume that navy guards have seen many things while out at sea – however one could never anticipate a burning fishing boat with kittens in the middle of the ocean.Ā

Admiral Saai of the Royal Thai Navy reacted to the unexpected site in the most heroic way: he swam from his ship to the flaming vessel and carried each cat to safety.Ā

The boat was apparently very close to sinking – with only the bow above water. Here, 4 kittens were hanging on for dear life.Ā

Not all heroes wear capesĀ

While Admiral Saai was not wearing a cape, itā€™s important to note that he was wearing a life vest. This ensured that he would maintain his safety, as well as those of the cats – an important lesson for those embarking on lifesaving missions.Ā
