Temple driver snags ~$186K lotto win
Two months ago, one hawker in Nakhon Ratchasima won the lottery jackpot after he bought tickets with numbers he saw in his nightmare.
While this story has gotten us to believe that nightmares may bring us good fortune, we’re still looking for evidence that rituals like praying to holy spirits can help us win the lotto. Coincidentally, just this happened a day ago in the same province.

Temple’s driver blessed by holy entity wins lottery’s first prize
On 17th February 2022, a Thai Facebook user, อุกฤษฏ์ ฟองจำเริญ, posted a story of a lucky temple driver named Sawatchai Sangiampo, 46, at Wat Nong Chok, who won the lottery’s first prize worth ฿6 million (~USD186,000).
The photo showed the man holding the lottery ticket No. 098597 and giving a peace-sign to the camera as a sign of victory.
Sawatchai revealed that a few days earlier, he dreamed of the temple’s van catching on fire.
He then bought the lottery ticket with the last two digits of the van’s registration number, as reported by FirstToday.

After winning the first prize, the lucky driver was extremely happy as he had never won the lotto before. Sawatchai believed that he was blessed by Thao Wessuwan, a holy entity he had prayed with for his wish to come true.
According to ข่าวเวิร์คพอยท์ 23, Sawatchai is planning to donate some of the prize money to the temple where he works at, and save the rest as an educational fund for his children.
Netizens congratulate the lucky driver
After the story was shared as a Facebook post, many netizens flooded in the post to congratulate the lucky winner.
