Unlike all the typical Swensen’s franchises we’ve been to, this Swensen’s flagship store in Hat Yai really grabbed our attention with its sizeable space and Chinese-style designs.

Once you step inside, you’ll be surprised by how roomy the area is compared with other regular stores. The beautiful interior gives off a serene ambiance, as if you’ve been transported into a Chinese dynastic period.

If you’re looking for a photogenic seating spot for pics, we recommend checking out the seating on the left side of the bar counter. There’s a long row of red booths. The panel is decked with street art along with some roof and wooden window decorations inspired by the patterns of a Chinese palace.

The set includes Kanom Tao Than, a well-known local snack in Hat Yai, served alongside vanilla ice cream with crispy waffle pieces.
