Superheroes fight COVID-19
Stress and anxiety about living through COVID-19 can affect us mentally and emotionally. As such, we have to stay positive as much as possible to fight back.
In a sea of serious and scary news, it’s just as important to share the positivity too. These state officers got the memo and decided to do their part to relieve the stress of citizens by dressing up as well-known superheroes to carry out their duties, which brought laughter to everyone who came across their story.

Cleaning the streets with disinfectants is another significant measure that’s been implemented across the country to cope with the spread of COVID-19 virus. Officers have been deployed to sanitise public areas such as main roads, transport hubs, gathering points, as well as areas that are more crowded.
Besides the night cleaning in Bangkok, other provinces in Thailand are now starting to do the same, such as in Samut Sakhon and Krabi. Coincidentally, the officers from both provinces wore colourful costumes as the famous superheroes to entertain people during this difficult time. Hmm, they must have gotten superhero instructions.

The official page of the Public Relation Department of Samut Sakhon, สำนักงานประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร also mentioned that we could be superheroes ourselves – just don a face mask before going out, exercise social distancing, wash your hands, and staying at home as much as you can.
Keeping ourselves entertained during this time
Staying calm is an important thing to do besides taking care of our physical health. Wearing these costumes might not keep COVID-19 at bay like a normal supervillain, but we’re grateful for these everyday heroes for doing what they can to keep everyone else safe.
We hope that everyone continues to stay safe during this time!
