Thai University Students Celebrate Cleaning Aunty’s Retirement To Show Their Gratitude

Cleaning staff are often overlooked by other people wherever they work, whether it’s at home or the workplace, which can be super sad.

To make sure Aunty Nang, a cleaner at Chulalongkorn University who’s about to retire, doesn’t feel that way, a group of law students decided to surprise her and her friend with beautiful garlands to show how grateful they are.

Besides handing Aunty Nang a garland, which represents the utmost respect in Thai culture, they also gave her a precious gift: a drawn portrait of her, created by one of the students.
