Thai Public Transport Promotes Social Distancing With Designated ‘No Seat’ Zones

Besides funny ways to practice social distancing, Thailand has taken this measure into careful consideration by implementing proper distancing techniques. This is especially in places prone to bigger groups of people, like shopping malls, shops, and public transportation. 

Thai public transportation systems like buses and trains have taken the necessary social distancing measures by rearranging seats and indicating standing spots for passengers.

Although people are encouraged to stay at home during the COVID-19 outbreak, there are some of us who need to go out for important reasons like work. Thus, transportation systems need to tighten safety measures to prevent infections from spreading. 

Systems like the BTS, MRT, and public buses have arranged seats and standing spots in accordance to social distancing policies.

Passengers who use the rail services by BTS, MRT, and Airport Rail Link are also required to have temperature check and wear a face mask too.

Aside from these safety measures, every station is also equipped with hand sanitisers passengers can use for free. 

Follow the measures to prevent more infections

If you don’t have any urgent matters to attend to and can work from home, staying at home during this crisis is the best thing to do.

But if you’re heading out, especially to crowded areas, don’t forget to keep a sufficient distance between each other and keep yourself clean.
