During the current virus era, we have become accustomed to social distancing, which is used everywhere, especially in restaurants that are currently reopening.
Aside from the idea to offer toy pandas and dolls companions for customers to enjoy eating alone, this table with glass domes can be another idea for restaurants to adopt during COVID-19.

PLEX’EAT is an idea from French product designer, Christophe Gernigon, with the aim to offer an elegant but safe option for restaurants and bars during COVID-19.
This luxury table set comes with heat resistant glass domes which will cover the upper part of those sitting at the table.

The glass dome works like a big face shield, protecting users from any airborne droplets that could be carrying the virus.
The table is now under further development in order to eventually be used in real life. We might see this stylish table set at our local restaurants in the near future.
