Security guards receive ฿200K from community for New Year’s
A week ago, a factory in Rayong gave their workers a 5.5 bonus and hosted a Japanese luncheon for them as a new years gift.
During the special time of the year, there’s no doubt that employees will greatly appreciate bonuses and presents. They’re considered to be big rewards for the hard work and effort they dedicated to their jobs over the past year.
Here’s another heartwarming story of someone receiving a well-deserved present: a Thai security guard team in Nonthaburi got ฿200,000 (~USD6,032) from more than 360 community members as a New Year’s present.

On 2nd January 2021, the story of a security guard team at Sirikarn Home in Resort who received ฿200,000 (~USD6,032) as a New Year’s present circulated across social media.
Over 360 households in the gated community pooled in to deliver this gift.

The story was shared as a post on Facebook. One picture showed the amount of money that each household had pledged to reward the village’s security workers. The total amount of cash given was said to be approximately ฿200,000 (~USD6,032).

In addition, villagers also gave them other presents such as New Year’s baskets that contained household items like a microwave, towels, etc.

One of the villagers, 80, said that the reason they gave the security guards New Year’s gifts is that they have protected the village well and have always kept all of the households updated on current information.

63-year-old security guard head, Narong Meeprom, revealed to the press that the security guard team has received New Year’s gifts from the villagers every year.

He also expressed his appreciation for the New Year’s presents and thanked all villagers on behalf of his team for giving them such a large reward.
