It’s a rule that all motorists in Thailand must drive on the left side of the road.

Rickshaw granny breaks road rules

This rickshaw granny and her doggo were seen driving down a road around Nakhon Sri Thammarat as if they were sticking to the driving regulations in Western Europe on 21st June 2021, reported Naewna.

To paint a clearer picture, she’d be driving straight at you if you were abiding by Thai traffic law.

The canine companion was in the lead and the granny, presumably in her 70s, was operating the vehicle.

Netizen worry for their safety

This duo was documented by a netizen, who slowly and carefully stayed on the left whilst crossing paths with them, reported by Line Today.

Hoping to grab the attention of the traffic police, the concerned netizen decided to share videos of the granny on the internet. This motorist worried about their safety and dangers that could happen from driving on the wrong side of the road.

It’s highly likely that anyone could be caught in an accident from this behaviour.

More drivers like rickshaw granny

Despite the dangers of driving on the wrong side of the road, there are many motorists who propel into oncoming traffic. Those who have visited Thailand have probably witnessed a motorcycle – or many – zipping by in the opposite direction.

Whilst you may not be the one charging into traffic, it’s important for your safety to keep an eye out for drivers like this. Let’s hope that this granny, her doggo, the motorist and everyone involved in this story got home safe and sound.

What kind of road rule breakers do you have in your city?
