Medication and treatments for COVID-19 patients are still under experimentation, with research being conducted by medical professionals all over the world. The best we can do for now is to take care of our health to prevent potential infections and provide the best care for all patients under treatment.

One magical treatment that can help a lot is the blood plasma from patients who have already recovered from the virus. The Thai Red Cross Society is inviting those patients to donate their plasma to help others who are still infected.

Blood plasma can help ease severe symptoms

80% of patients with mild symptoms are able to quickly recover as the virus hasn’t accessed their lungs. However, more severe cases are those with lung infections.

These patients require important antibodies to help fight germs, and that can be found in the blood plasma of patients who have already recovered from the virus.

As such, the Thai Red Cross Society is launching a campaign for recovered patients to help by donating plasma. Those who used to be COVID-19 patient without any present symptoms, and have passed their 14-day quarantine can take part in this initiative.
