Besides other events hosted in Bangkok a couple of weeks ago like Bangkok Bread Fiesta, Krung Thep Thara and The Golden Mount Festival, the Red Cross Festival or Ngan Ga-Chart is also a must-go as well.
It’s been celebrated for over 90 years, and this event is one that locals eagerly look out for throughout the year.
Here are some of the things you can do:
1. Go on amusement park rides

At the Red Cross Festival, it’s a must to visit the amusement park zone, which has lots of rides and games that remind us of our childhood. Every year, the most popular rides are the Ferris wheel and carousel.
2. Watch extreme performances like Motor-Cy Tai Tang
Motor-Cy Tai Tang roughly translates to “riding a motorcycle up the tank”, and yes, this extreme performance does exactly that.

The motorcyclist starts by riding from the base of the “tank” and gradually goes up higher in the circle. It’s kind of hard to believe people can do that! It’s really thrilling to watch, so stay on your toes.
3. Visit a haunted house

Scary alert! It might not look so scary on the outside, but this carnival’s haunted house always hides something that would freak you out while you’re inside. So, if you think you’re not going to get the goosebumps so easily, you’ll probably think twice after coming here
4. Get some grub at street food carts

There are tonnes of food items for you to choose from, such as local snacks, a variety of skewers, desserts, and even cool drinks like Ovaltine shakes.

For shopaholics, here is where you’ll be able to score tonnes of discounts. The Red Cross Festival always rounds up stores that sell clothes and other items at affordable prices, so be calm and don’t worry about going bankrupt.
The festival will be happening till 24th Nov 2019
