Public transport services reduced

According to Thailand’s Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, all of Bangkok’s public transport will stop running by 9.30pm in response to a nationwide curfew that was announced by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha as an attempt to control the COVID-19 outbreak.
The affected services include BTS Sky Train, MRT Train, Airport Rail Link, and Buses which will seize their operation between 9.30pm until 4am of the next day.
Like the curfew, this new order will take place from an evening of 3rd April 2020 until further announcements are made.
In addition, the governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) said the new closing time is suitable as commuters would still have time to travel home before 10pm, which is when the curfew starts.

Long-distance trains suspended

The acting governor of the State Railway of Thailand confirmed that about 30 long-distance rail routes will be suspended as they couldn’t reach destinations before the curfew started.
