Prachuap Khiri Khan night market guide
We know that Hua Hin, a district in Prachuap Khiri Khan, is usually the centre of attention amongst tourists when it comes to the idyllic beach city, just 3 hours from Bangkok. But besides its more famous landmarks, Prachuap Khiri Khan itself – a well-liked part of the city – also offers a wide range of places for visitors beyond the typical itinerary.
For street food fanatics, Prachuap Khiri Khan Night Market is a bustling local walking street that’s located next to the beach with a photogenic red bridge above the sea where shutterbugs can flock to snap a few portraits with the island’s iconic backdrop. Trust us when we say, this is one of the longest beachside markets in Thailand, and we’re psyched to introduce it to you below.

Prachuap Khiri Khan Walking Street is considered the longest night market along the coast in Thailand. Opening from 4PM – 9PM from Fridays to Sundays, the market attracts a lot people – both locals and tourists – on the weekend as there are masses of street food vendors and clothing stores scattered along the road. Even if you don’t have a plan to shop for anything, you can definitely have an enjoyable walk here.

As the walking street is situated in the centre of the city, we find it quite easy to gain access to the area. If you have no idea what to eat for dinner, we believe visiting this market’s hawkers will grant you an abundance of choices.

While the market offers a broad range of cuisines, some shops are highly recommended by locals, so you can KIV them for now – especially if you love spicy food. Here’s a spicy seafood salad hawker called เจ๊หนึ่งแซ่บตามปาก (Je Nueng Sab Tam Pak) that serves spicy salads with seafood items like crab, prawns, and salmon from ฿70 (~USD1.80). For spicy food lovers, we bet you won’t forget this one, even once you leave Thailand.

Or if you hate spicy food, but you’re a seafood fan, you can find a large number of seafood vendors in the market. This is also one of the seafood stores that you might consider trying; ตั๊กเมี่ยงปลาเผา (Tak Miang Pla Pao) has big salt-crusted grilled fish from ฿160 (~USD4.80). The fish will come with spicy seafood dipping sauce, but you can just leave it in the bag if you prefer the OG flavours. In our opinion, however, the sauce is a perfect complement for the fish.

There’s no way you can miss this red bridge when you walk around the market. The bridge extends into the sea with street lights glowing in a row, and has been marked as a photogenic spot for visitors travelling to Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Also, if you’re an early bird, we suggest coming to this bridge in the early morning to watch the sunrise. We’re sure it will be a pleasant view to look at to start a new day.
Don’t miss out on this walking street in Prachuap Khiri Khan
Like we pointed out earlier that the market’s located in the city, so you won’t have difficulty visiting this attraction. If you’re already in the city, you can walk from downtown to the market about 10 mins or go there by cab. But if you come from Hua Hin, you’ll be driving around one hour and a half to get to the market.
Prachuap Khiri Khan Walking Street is a hub of street food hawkers where you can buy as much food as you want to satisfy your appetite. Going there with a gang of friends would be so much fun. So if you have a following trip to this province, you might wanna consider dropping by this market as it’s very near the downtown and you’ll find a large selection of food to munch on.
