Chulalongkorn University erects Digital Arts Hub
The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at the Chulalongkorn University has unveiled a new center for digital arts, the FAAMAI Digital Arts Hub. The Hub includes the FAAMAI Dome, a planetary-style interactive dome, or movie theatre, in the middle of Chulalongkorn Centenary Park.
State of the art facilities
The Dome is designed for exhibitions and events that give the audience a 360-degree viewing experience. Guests can expect digital projections of renowned artwork, as well as showings of lesser-known international award winning films. For artists, the Digital Arts Hub offers the FAAMAI Studio, with sensors, hi-resolution projectors, sound editing tools, and software we non-digital artists have never even heard of.

The Hub was created under the patronage of the Chulalongkorn University Second Century Fund (C2F). The goal of the Digital Arts Hub is to foster a generation of artists that can integrate traditional art with digital technology, thereby bolstering creativity in Thailand.

The future of digital art
On 20th December 2020, the Digital Arts Hub invited guests to completely immerse themselves in a 360-degree showing of films, Fractal Time and Desconnexion. The audience also got to see how the Dome works through a demonstration of Interactive Projection Mapping.
Stay tuned for future events that’ll for sure blow your mind, and your IG likes.
