Bangkok Has A Free Papeterie Exhibition With Beautiful Flowers All Made Outta Paper

Papeterie: Lost in the Greenland

Expand your artistic horizon and botanical knowledge at Papeterie: Lost in the Greenland, a humble art exhibition housed in Bangkok’s well-known art space, The Jam Factory.

The event takes place from 12th September to 25th October 2020.

In a pastoral European-style room, you’ll find more than 40 types of wildflowers made of paper.

All pieces of art were created based on images of exotic flowers humans discovered from 3 different types of forests: tropical forest, temperate forest, and taiga (snow forest).

Note: Refrain from touching any of the work because they’re fragile.

The masterpiece of this exhibition is a life-sized stinking corpse lily made of papier-mâché, which is positioned in the centre of the room.

Some smaller flowers are elegantly displayed on shelves, while others are made to look like they’re being ‘preserved’ in a book.

During your time here – you’ll feel just like a botanist from 19th century England.

Clear your schedules and get to know more about papeteries as well as wildflowers at this exhibition. You can also talk about the work after at a cafe within The Jam Factory’s site.
