The Central Bankruptcy Court gave permission for the low-cost airline to rehabilitate its business as reported by Bangkok Post on 5th November 2020.
Nok Air’s director Kasemsant Weerakun said, “Even though Nok Air can reduce accumulative losses, the airline has suffered from the outbreak, which has grounded our fleet for months.”
“This is the only path for us,” he added.

฿26 billion in debt
Bangkok Post also reported that Nok Air is ฿26 baht in debt as of end July while having ฿23 billion in assets.
According to the court, the airline is required to come up with new business plans by January 2021.
As of today, Nok Air has resumed domestic operations to 24 destinations – that’s around 70% of their flights before the pandemic.
Personally, I think Nok Air is one of the best value airlines out there, and I hope it gets back on its feet soon.
