Free face masks on Thai MRT

Wearing face masks is now a must in our everyday lives amid COVID-19, especially in crowded areas like trains.
To encourage passengers to keep up with safety measures, the Thai Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) now provides free face masks for passengers.

Distributed in 3 rounds from June to August

From 1st June to the end of August, or until stocks last, Bangkok subway will be providing cloth face masks to passengers for free.
The face mask is made from 2 layers of polyester and muslin fabrics and can be washed and reused over 30 times.
The face masks come with a sleek black and blue design

Over 1 million face masks have been prepared to be distributed in 3 rounds at different MRT stations each day. The first round started on 1st – 7th June from 6.30AM – 9AM.

Aside from the giveaway campaign, passengers who top-up their card at least ฿500 can receive one free mask too.
