Moma’s Bubble Tea Bar In Bangkok Sells The Cheapest BBT With Drinks Less Than $1.20

Cheap bubble tea in Bangkok

It’s no doubt that a not-so-subtle Asian trait is that we probably spend more money on bubble tea than anything else.

Luckily for Bangkokians, we don’t have to worry too much about wallet damage when we’ve got Moma’s Bubble Tea Bar. This stall arguably offers the cheapest bubble tea not just in BKK, but to Thai folks all across the country.

29 drinks on the menu

Once we got here, we were delighted with the range of items they had on the menu. It has 29 drinks, 5 toppings, and 2 special sauces to choose from – so customise your perfect order. There are both milky and fruity options available too.

While the current menu has 26 items on it, with 3 new premium items recently added to the list: Matcha Latte, Hojicha Latte, and Sweet Potato Latte

Take your time to browse the menu

Prices start from only ฿19 (~USD0.60) to ฿29 – that’s less than USD1! Premium flavours cost ฿39 (~USD1.20).

We started by picking a base, with drinks like Milk Tea, Apple Yoghurt, Plum Red Tea, and Brown Sugar Dirty Milk. Next, add your toppings (฿5, ~USD0.17). There are 5 choices: Original Pearls, Strawberry Jelly, Fruit Salad Jelly, Apple Jelly, and Lychee Jelly.

You can also add special sauces to go along with your BBT –  Honey and Brown Sugar (from ฿10, ~USD0.33).

We started with the all-time fave – Brown Sugar Dirty Milk + Original Pearls (฿34, ~USD1.12). This came with its signature “tiger” stripe patterns, and we enjoyed the caramel-y flavours from the brown sugar sauce.

Next, we had Sweet Potato Latte + Original Pearls (฿44, ~USD1.46). The flavour of sweet potato wasn’t artificially sweet and had a smooth and creamy consistency.

As for the pearls, they were soft and chewy – we strongly recommend pairing the bubbles with the milk-based drinks.

We explored our fruity options with some Passionfruit Green Tea + Fruit Salad Jelly (฿24, ~USD0.80) and Strawberry Green Tea + Lychee Jelly (฿24, ~USD0.80). Both had a sweet and sour taste, and we loved how the jellies were firm with a good bite.

Cool down with some cheap BBT in Bangkok

Moma’s can be found all across the city, with outlets at popular tourist destinations like Siam Square as well. Expect long queues, but the staff were quick with the orders and we got our drinks fast.
