Ice cream-shaped McDonald’s China
McDonald’s is known for having all sorts of special menu items depending on the country you’re in, from McKao Krapao right here in Thailand to Satay Burgers in Singapore.
But McDonald’s China went all out with an ice cream cone-shaped outlet in Shenzhen earlier this month.

If you’re wondering about the day you’d get to see this store IRL, keep wondering. Turns out, this outlet was just a pop-up for an event for OCT OH BAY in Shenzhen, which ran from 25th Sep to 8th Oct according to an insightful commenter.
But it doesn’t matter, because the photos were enough to make netizens coo over how adorable it was. Here’s what the rest of the world missed out on:

Details of the store remain elusive, but it seems that it was only a dessert kiosk dishing out classy soft serve sundaes to customers – not like anything you’d find at a regular McD around the corner.

The pretty facade also comes to life at night, with the “ice cream” portion’s bright pink lights making it look like a giant strawberry cone.
It takes on a more holographic look in the day – just as pretty

We have no idea if McDonald’s is planning on bringing these pop-up kiosks to more locations around the world, but our fingers are crossed that it comes to our shores one day.
