Khanom Tang Taek Pa Tim Sells Delish Thai-Style Spongy Pancakes From Just 50 Cents

Khanom Tang Taek to try at Wang Lang

Khanom Tang Taek Pa Tim has always been a legend in the Thai-style pancake world. It’s been selling this yummy dessert for over 7 years in the neighbourhood of Wang Lang, and can be noticed from a mile away thanks to its long line of customers and sweet aroma that fills the air.

Delicious Thai-styled spongy pancakes

If you happen to love Khanom Buang, a smaller version of the crispy pancake that comes topped with cream and Foi Thong (shredded egg yolk), Khanom Tang Teak is an upsized version with a spongier texture – aka more to enjoy.

Here, the staff work like clockwork and are mesmerising to watch, with how quickly they flip the pancakes. The queues can be long, but you don’t need to wait that long as the service is speedy.

Pa Tim, or Auntie Tim, offers her customers 10 toppings and all of them are very popular. You can opt for basic toppings like Coconut (฿15), Corn (฿15), Steamed Custard (฿15), Golden Threads (Foi Thong) (฿15), Soybean with Sugar and Sesame (฿15).

If you want to try more interesting toppings, opt for pandan threads (฿20) that has a clear pandan fragrance, or dried shrimp (฿15) if you prefer something savoury.

Plus, there are other choices you can choose from, including Taro (฿15), Raisins (฿15), or Med Khanoon (฿15) which is a Thai traditional dessert made of mung bean and egg yolk.

This store presents its customers a freshly-made Tang Taek that comes with generous amounts of topping. Each pancake is also spread with soft cream – a blend of coconut sugar and egg white. We tried 6 toppings and all of them went really well together. Plus, each pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

To get the highest satisfaction, you should finish all of them while they are hot and crisp.
