The COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t just led to medical problems or economic issues, but also social and familial ones.
Now that self-isolation is a basic preventive measure people have been urged to follow to stay safe from catching the virus, living together in the same house 24/7 has resulted in tensions among many couples.

Whether it’s living with a difficult partner or seeing a side of your SO you’d never realised before, couples might feel like they desperately need a “break” away from each other to relax. The only ‘but’ however, is that they have nowhere to go amidst this outbreak, when many places are closed worldwide.
However, one firm in Japan came up with a solution – people just need temporary shelter.

The rate of divorce is getting higher across the world.
Kasoku, a Tokyo-based rental company, has taken note of this problem. As a result, they’ve come up with a solution to get people to have some time away from their homes to just relax.
They’re offering fully furnished apartments for individuals to have a short ‘staycation’, at JPY4,400 (~USD40) per day. But this comes with a super special package. Residents will get a 30-minute divorce consultation with a legal professional, where they can talk about their problems at home – for free! There are over 500 units available across the country – mainly in Tokyo.
We’re all confronted with difficulties amid the pandemic. So, we should stay calm despite the crisis and be kind to those around us – especially our loved ones in our own families.
