James Korean Bangkok
Korean BBQ is one of those meals that you have to really be in the mood for – cooking raw meats at the table over an open fire with smoky air around you isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
James Korean makes the experience much more enjoyable with its aromatic spice-marinated meats, induction-based stove and a high-end smoke removal system.

Korean BBQ in Thailand
The only limit to how much you can eat is time: James Korean allows customers to order as much as they’d like within the 90-minutes allotted to each table.
Visitors can also choose from 3 different buffet options starting from ฿199 (~USD6) to ฿499 (~USD16). However, the Korean BBQ – or shabu – experience is only offered to those who opt for the the ฿299 (~USD9) option or above.

Pork ribs, premium beef and kimchi soup
We decided to go with the ฿499 (~USD16) buffet, which was more than enough for two people. Of course, we had to order James Korean’s signature BBQ Pork Ribs – visitors can choose between having them pre-grilled or grilling them on the induction pan provided.
Upon placing the sauce-smothered BBQ ribs on our table, we could smell the myriad of spices that composed the fall-off-the-bone pork; biting into the juicy ribs, the pork’s umami flavors were perfectly complemented by the restaurant’s subtly-sweet barbecue sauce.
We then decided to take them to the next level: wrapping the pork in melted mozzarella cheese. The creamy taste and elastic texture of the cheese that enveloped the pork brought out a mixture of flavours we never expected before: a nutty, tangy, sweet and umami explosion.
Other signature dishes from James Korean include their Kimchi Soup, and premium beef cuts. In addition to the spicy and zesty ingredients in the broth is the fact that there are a myriad of greens that helped add some much-welcomed freshness to the never-ending train of rich meats.
The buffet also came with seafood staples like shrimp, scallops and oysters.
