On 1st November 2022, ICONSIAM, one of Bangkok’s luxurious department stores, kicked off the biggest festive light festival ‘The ICONSIAM Bangkok Illumination 2022’ by the Chao Phraya River.

Lasting until 5th January 2023, the event is taking place at two spots: the River Park on G Floor and the Napalai Terrace, on the 7th Floor.

Hosted by ICONSIAM in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), B.Grimm S.Napha Solar Power Company, Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Energy Conservation, and President Bakery, the festive extravaganza will astound visitors with Thailand’s first solar-powered Christmas tree.

The tree appears as if it’s dripping with gold, and is inspired by banana leaves folded into ornamental shapes during the traditional Bai Sri blessing ceremony, and other auspicious Thai floral arrangements.

Apart from the giant Christmas tree, the event also displays a collection of installation art.

Once walking further inside the event, visitors will get a chance to feast their eyes on masterpieces such as Peeping Corners and Infinity Forest.
