It’s always good to know that people in our society always have each other’s back – whether to help clear traffic for an ambulance or simply buy food for less fortunate people like this man.
Last Friday, a rental gown shop owner in Bangkok, Mr. Natthawut Nilwong, shared a touching story on his Facebook about how he treated a hungry couple to a free meal at a food stall near his shop.

He was suspicious about them at first
In his post, Mr. Natthawut revealed that he was in his shop when he first saw the couple walking by. His suspicions arose when he saw both of them walking back and forth, passing his shop several times.

The shop owner then decided to come out and see what was going on. He then found the couple at the food stall which was selling rice and curry next to his shop.
They were asking to get just a dish of rice with a splash of soup on top without any meat or vegetables. This was because they only had ฿20 in their pocket and couldn’t afford to buy more.
Couple didn’t want more than they could eat
Mr. Natthawut was quick to tell the couple to eat whatever they wanted until they were full and that he would take care of the bill. The woman simply said to him, “I wish you the best.”
The couple refused to eat inside the restaurant, saying there were too dirty. So they ordered takeaways and ate it on the footpath nearby.
When Mr. Natthawut told them to buy more food and save them for later, the couple politely refused and insisted that it was more than enough.
Netizens sent love for his charitable actions
