Hajime Robot Restaurant in Bangkok
Before our robot overlords take over the world, there’s still time to enjoy them serving us delicious food at quirky restaurants.
Hajime Robot Restaurant is a Japanese buffet place where their best employee is a dancing robot.

You send your order to the robot via the restaurant’s tablet system. The kitchen prepares the food and hands it over to the robot to be served. The robot uses sensors to detect any used plates to clean up and will stay out of the way if it detects hands or objects in its zone.

The restaurant has tables for shabu-shabu, sukiyaki* and yakiniku**, as well as all three for those who want to sit next to the robot, and buffets start at ฿330.
*shabu-shabu and sukiyaki are two Japanese-styles of hot pot
**yakiniku is Japanese-style barbecue
The waiter doesn’t talk much, but the children love him.

Excuse the server for being a little robotic, but they sure know how to dance.

Every 30 minutes, the robot will dance to a random song if it isn’t busy serving tables. It’s danced to a Dance Dance Revolution, Wonder Girls, and even a song from Thai singer Thongchai “Bird” McIntyre.
