A cafe that looks like a Japanese factory hidden in Bangkok

At first glance, you might find it hard to believe that this is a coffee house due to its rather unassuming exterior which kinda resembles a factory. What piqued our interest, however, was the monotone graffiti-style logo on its shutters.

Then again, there’s too little to go on to truly see why we’re calling this an “industrial” cafe. Perhaps the minimalist indoor decor may lend more credence to the vibes that the space exudes.

Standing within the massive warehouse, the first thing that’ll catch your eyes as soon as you walk in, is this stone bar-counter with an orange glowing light underneath. Here, you’ll notice loads of their high-tech equipment for making coffee on the countertop, and you’ll probably have no shortage of bean options here. Looking above the eye-level, you’ll notice several black-hued beams, giving the space modern loft feels.

Furthermore, this cafe offers both slow bar and speed bar types of coffee. There are also various single origin beans compartmentalised by flavours for you to choose from.

If you pay close attention, you’ll spy a few rough concrete columns with circuit boards hidden on the pillars. They kinda remind us of power grids in a factory.

When it comes to the dining area, we love that the house offers many kinds of seating for guests to settle in, be it outdoor seating, bar seating, or a metallic ledge that doubles up as a bench with seat cushions.

Designed by the owner who worked as a programmer, here’s our most favourite spot – a cracked wall filled with circuit boards. Personally, we find it creative and cool, complementing the industrial theme pretty well. Be sure to stop by to snap a few shots before you head out.

Try their signature Es-Tonic – fizzy lemon espresso for ฿160

If there’s one item you’d better try after making your way here, that’d be the Es-Tonic at ฿160 (~USD4.50) – an espresso shot mixed with fizzy tonic water, topped with slices of lemon. We heard it’s a good option if you’re looking for something refreshing. Try one yourself and tell us what you think.

For shutterbugs like us, we wouldn’t waste our time on just sitting still in our seats. Instead, we would walk about and scan the place for potential IG spots. On your way out, you may – or may not, depending on how hard you look – stumble upon this photogenic spot. A corner with ginormous aluminum vent pipes and grills attached to the black walls of the cafe.
