Grandpa leaves house because of grandma’s nagging

It’s totally understandable when people get annoyed at a family member who complains a lot – most of us might feel this way about our moms. But this grandpa took it to another level.

Last week, the police found an 89-year-old man walking along a road by himself in Prachin Buri, Thailand. After taking him under their custody to investigate, they learned that his name was Kumsorn and that he was walking from a nearby province to see his son.

But when the police asked about his son’s address so they could take him there, Grandpa Kumsorn was unable to remember the exact location due to his forgetfulness.

Police decided to bring him back home

The police then told Grandpa Kumsorn that they would give him a ride home first, but he refused and still insisted to go to his son’s place.

Short of options, the police lied to Grandpa Kumsorn that they’d take him to his son’s only if he told them where his present house is. They then headed back to his home.

When Grandpa Kumsorn recognised his house as the police car moved into the area, he suddenly shouted at them and demanded that they drive him back to the previous spot.

Reunited with his wife at home

After seeing her husband in the police car, Grandma Boonma began scolding Grandpa Kumsorn out of worry.

Finally, both elders revealed that they had fought the day before, which made Grandpa Kumsorn leave in anger. He told the police that Grandma Boonma always nagged at him and complained about everything, so he didn’t want to live with her anymore.

Grandma Boonma then replied that she only did so because she wanted them to be together. She didn’t want him to leave and bother their son, but rather live together as a typical old couple.

Finally, Grandpa Kumsorn made peace with his wife and reunited with her.

There are times we want to get away from our family’s naggings. But this story has proved to us that most of the time, they actually care about us very deeply.
