GrabFood driver delivers food via boat
The COVID-19 pandemic emphasises that we live in the era of convenience, with delivery services available at our fingertips. We can look for whatever we desire on delivery platforms – especially food – and get them served fresh to our doorstep.
One GrabFood rider in Thailand proved that deliverymen can go anywhere – even if its delivering hot pizza to his customer in the middle of a river.
Customer was in the middle of the river
GrabFood driver Ake KB shared his own experience as a “Grab Boat” rider when he successfully completed a very special delivery via boat.
Translation: You have to believe it. GrabFood delivers everywhere.
Mr. Ake told in the post that he was doubtful when he saw that the drop-off destination was pinned in the middle of the river. He then thought that the customer’s house might be sitting along the riverside, which caused the pin to be misplaced.
Finally, he decided to call the customer and found that she was in a ferry situated on the water.

When he reached the river, Mr. Ake had to ride along the banks to find a boat that could help him reach his customer. He then met a boat with 2 elderly folks selling noodles, who offered to bring him across to finish his delivery. Mission success!

Netizens were both amused and impressed, mentioning that he should receive an outstanding staff award for his excellent service.
Others were also curious about why the customer decided to order food while in the middle of the river.
Translation: That’s so cool. If you dare to order, I dare to deliver too.
Translation: I feel sorry for you, but am also impressed with your service. I understand the customer – she might be very hungry but unable to step out to buy anything.
Translation: You deserve [to be a] grade A staff.
Thank you Mr. Ake for don’t giving up on your duties! Your service is more than outstanding.
Anyway, we say avoid ordering food if you’re on a ship – waiting by the pier might be better instead!
