Bangkok is well-known to be the perfect paradise for foodies. Aside from the typical street food experiences, here’s how to bring your food adventures to a new level.
Challenge your stomach by visiting these 10 restaurants that offer supersized meals in BKK. Some even come with rewards if you finish your meal under a time limit, from getting your meal for free to winning ฿40,000!

1. Gold Curry – 10kg Japanese curry with ฿40,000 reward

Gold Curry is a chain restaurant from Japan that has landed at Sukhumvit Soi 39. The store serves Japanese curry rice and crispy tonkatsu. For the real foodies, Gold Curry has different eating challenges with awesome cash rewards. Their curry rice challenge starts from 2kg, going all the way up to a whopping 10kg plate:
- 2kg (฿699) in 15 minutes: eat it free
- 4kg (฿1,299) in 30 minutes: get a gift voucher for 30 free curry rice
- 6kg (฿1,899) in 30 minutes: get ฿10,000
- 8kg (฿2,499) in 45 minutes: get ฿20,000
- 10kg (฿2,899) in an hour: get ฿40,000

If you’re not ready to stuff yourself, go for their normal portions instead. There are 4 main sizes with different amounts of rice. Their customer-fave has got to be the Gold Katsu Curry Rice, where you can choose from the following sizes: SS (฿160), S (฿180), M (฿220), and LL (฿250).
This dish comes with crunchy tonkatsu that has been fried in breadcrumbs, with succulent meat inside. You can opt for either pork or beef when ordering.

Another popular item is the Omelette Curry Rice, with prices starting from ฿150 for the smallest portion. Aside from the gooey omelette and tomato sauce topping, you can also add extra like Gold Katsu (฿60), Chicken Nuggets (฿40), Sausage (฿50), or Fried Shrimp (฿50).

2. Bamee Jom Palung – Massive 35kg wonton noodles

Bamee Jom Palung has been serving giant noodles in the Thai food scene for a while and has been keeping its quality consistent for its local and foreign fans for over 6 years now.
They’ve got a few supersized dishes to pick from too. The one to definitely look out for is their special 35kg Wonton Noodles (Discount: ฿2,499, U.P.: ฿7,000). Brace yourselves, this is what you can get in one serving:
- 3kg of red BBQ pork
- 2kg of crispy pork
- 23 pieces of crab meat in their shells
- 50 minced pork wontons
- 31 boiled eggs
- 1.5kg of pork-rolled vegetables
- 3kg of broccoli
- 1kg of bok choy
- 6 prawns
- Crispy wonton strips
- A 2kg pork meatball with gold leaf to top it off
There’s also a pot of hot and creamy tom yum soup in the centre of the dish, which comes with premium New Zealand mussels, king oyster mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and sometimes the store gives a surprise of extra toppings like prawns. Phew!

If you don’t have enough buddies to share that with, you can go for their less giant dishes instead, like Bamee Krot Piset, (Extra-Large Wonton Noodles, ฿380) or Bamee Piset (Large Wonton Noodles) for ฿180.

3. Sri Leung Pochana – free meal when you eat under 1 hour
Sri Leung Pochana is a simple chicken rice stall near Saphan Kwai BTS station. At first glance, you might not think that there is anything more to it that normal plates of khao man gai (chicken rice).
However, this place serves up a mean 3kg Chicken Rice (฿588) with a challenge – if you can finish it in 1 hour, you’ll have a free meal. This massive plate comes with 2kg of rice and 1kg of succulent chicken meat, along with cucumbers and soup. You can choose your type of chicken (steamed, grilled, or fried) and opt for toppings like chicken’s blood too.
A regular plate of chicken rice costs ฿47, so you can still pop by even if you’re not a big eater!

4. Here Hai – XXL crab fried rice and fresh seafood

This hidden seafood restaurant is tucked away in Thong Lor, right opposite Don Don Donki shopping mall. Here Hai specialises in fresh seafood dishes with ingredients like mantis shrimp, clams, and crab, and has a simple and cosy atmosphere.
The star dish here is definitely their XXL Crab Fried Rice (฿990) which can feed almost 5 people. It is topped with an impressive portion of fresh, juicy crab meat – no frozen meat here. The normal-sized crab fried rice is priced at ฿340, with generous portions too.
Seats are quite limited here, but the wait is worth it. Come with some friends and feast on the massive plate together!

5. MO & MOSHI – giant ice cream parfait

Not just savoury foods have to come in giant portions – desserts like ice cream parfait are available in supersize form too.
MO & MOSHI is conveniently located at Siam Centre, and here is where you can get the Strawberry Supreme (฿3,000) – a giant parfait with layers of premium strawberry ice cream, raspberry ice cream, and toppings like waffles, fresh strawberries, and Pocky sticks.
Plus, you can choose 22 scoops of ice cream flavours of your choice to be added in too!

6. Bamee Lom Yuk – free wonton noodles with no time limit
This feeds up to 8 people
Inspired by his grandmother’s recipe, Bamee Lom Yak’s owner started his own egg noodle restaurant that serves authentic Thai wonton noodles. It is located in Nonthaburi Pier, which is about 45 minutes from Bangkok by car.
Additional fried wontons are sold as a side dish too
Sizes start from Normal (฿30) – but why have that when you can try their supersized Yak Yai Wonton Egg Noodles With BBQ Pork? This is available in 2 options: Regular (฿220) and Extra (฿275).
We got the XL version, and it came with a giant serving of boiled wontons, red BBQ pork, veggies, alongside 2 bowls of sauce and soup.
The best part of Lom Yak is that you can get your meal for free if you finish the entire thing by yourself with no time limit. Aside from that, the store also offers free food for pregnant women – no challenge involved!

7. Urban Street – supersized steak and grilled meat platter

Urban Street sells American-style Western food, such as steak and pasta. But one dish it is known for is the Steak Prab Sien – a gigantic wooden platter with all sorts of grilled meats and sides, like:
- Pork chop
- Beef steak
- Grilled chicken
- Fish & Chips
- BBQ pork ribs
- Chicken sausages
- Chicken burger
- Fried
- Salad
It also comes with some sauces like thousand island, mayo, and black pepper. Though it is a massive dish, each grilled item is normal sized and well prepared. Everything is properly seasoned too. Plus, the salad will help cut any greasiness from eating all that meat.

8. Pe Aor – tom yum noodles with 400g lobster
Located along an alley in Petchaburi Soi 5, look out for a giant lobster which will let you know you’re in the right place – Pe Aor.

The shop is usually packed with customers who are there to try their signature Ruk Sud Rit Pi Chit Mang Khon (฿1,200) – tom yum noodles with a giant lobster.

This dish comes with seafood toppings like mussels, pork-stuffed squid, salmon, salted egg crab, and a giant 400g lobster. You can also choose what kind of noodles you’d like – egg noodles, flat rice noodles, or instant noodles.
The soup here is not too creamy and is mixed with shrimp fat paste and fresh milk. The seafood is fresh too, so no need to worry about any “fishy” smells while trying to down this.
Note: If the lobster of the day weighs more than 400g, the price will be increased. Regular portions start at ฿60.

9. The Place 168 – XXL tom yum in Pratunam
Pratunam might be known as shopping central, but hidden within Petchaburi Soi 19 near Pratunam Market is The Place 168. This store sells a big bowl of Tom Yum Noodles that comes topped with crispy pork, 2 runny egg yolks, pork balls, and prawns and squid.
The dish tastes really flavourful from herbs like lemongrass and galangal – it’s not too spicy either. The dish costs ฿195 and can feed 2-3 people.

10. Jeh O Chula – Michelin-recommended MAMA noodles
If you love spicy food, don’t miss out on the Michelin Guide recommended Jeh O Chula, which is located near Siam Paragon. This store is considered by many locals to be the best place to get the authentic taste of Thai tom yum soup.
Their special dish is the XXL MAMA OHO, which comes with a variety of topping options that start from ฿120 to ฿800 – it comes with premium crabmeat. The most popular variety is the MAMA OHO with Full Toppings (฿250). In a big bowl of instant noodles you’ll find succulent prawns, squid, pork meatballs, eggs, and crispy pork simmering in creamy tom yum soup.
The soup is rich with the smell of Thai herbs, and the spice level is just right. If you want to give it a try, you only have to come in after 11pm as the MAMA OHO is only served then. However, if you pop up before then, you can still order their Seafood Hot Pot Tom Yum (฿150). Don’t forget to order some extra Crispy Pork (S: ฿100 | M: ฿160 | L: ฿200) which is another must-try dish at Jeh O too.
