On the fateful day of September 7th, 2023, 8pm, it was reported that the Four Regions Floating Market, a cherished gem in Pattaya, was engulfed in flames. A large number of people immediately escaped the scene and sought safety. More than 20 firetrucks raced to the scene. Firemen tirelessly battled the blaze for more than four arduous hours before finally gaining control. Thankfully, amidst this tragedy, the silver lining emerges as no lives were lost.

The entire market has been turned into a landscape of debris and destruction, and the incurred damage surpasses 50 million baht.
Numerous individuals commented that the market’s extensive use of wood contributed to the rapid spread and escalation of the fire. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
