A foreigner in Phuket embarked on an experiment to gauge the kindness of a Thai vendor – and pleasantly surprised him with a sum of money.

Luke Erwin, a TikTok content creator, tested a Thai vendor’s kindness in Phuket by asking him for a free mango and telling him that he didn’t have money on him. The vendor showed kindness and agreed to give him a free mango. Luke then surprised him with ฿1,950, telling him that it was a test. At first, the vendor wanted to just take ฿50 for the mango, but Luke insisted and gave him ฿1,950 for the kindness.
After the video was released, many netizens flocked to praise the vendor’s generosity towards Luke, a true example of Thai people’s kindness.
