Disney+ Hotstar Thailand
Walt Disney Co is finally making dreams come true for Thai residents with plans to launch its streaming service – Disney+ Hotstar – in the Kingdom this 30th June 2021.
The platform will offer Disney’s OG contents, as well as the latest productions from Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney+ Hotstar Premium Quarterly subscription
Disney+ Hotstar, which is a joint streaming service between Disney+ and Star India, will be entering Thailand on 30th June 2021.

Although the details regarding the subscription in Thailand has yet to come, rumour has it that it will be similar to its neighbour Malaysia with a “Disney+ Hotstar Premium Quarterly” subscription plan at ฿299 (~USD9.5) for three months – maximum of two playing devices.
Since its debut back in 2019, Disney Plus has entered many overseas markets, including Singapore and India. The service was – rebranded into Disney+ Hotstar for the latter.

From Disney+ originals to blockbuster films and local hits
Subscribers will not only get to watch Disney’s original contents like “Mulan” and “Frozen”, but galactic hero fans will be happy to hear that the platform will be streaming the latest shows such as “The Book of Boba Fett” by Star Wars and a Marvel series on the villain “Loki”.
You can finally get a look at baby Yoda in ‘The Mandalorian’ Star Wars series also available on Disney Plus.

Apart from other Marvel names like “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, the platform will also include Pixar and blockbuster films as well as movie and series hits from Thailand itself.
Netflix vs. Disney+
With Disney Plus entering the territory, we can assume that there’ll be some side-switching going on.
