Diesel prices set to increase on 1st May 2022

According to the median exchange rate on 12th April 2022, the reference price of diesel in Thailand stands at ฿29.94 (~USD0.88) a litre.
Wattanapong Kurovat, director-general of the Energy Policy and Planning Office (Eppo), revealed that the officials and related agencies have been instructed to come up with plans to help reduce the potential impacts resulting from the surge in prices.
Since large vehicles such as trucks and buses do use diesel fuel, the cost of delivery by those vehicles is also predicted to increase as well.
This would impact the prices of goods and food which have to now factor in higher shipment costs, and it’s wise to brace for the impact.
Pray for diesel prices to increase a little
Although exact prices aren’t yet confirmed, we hope that the government’s easing plans will help ease the financial load for consumers just a little.
In case it has to happen, we hope that the price isn’t too high for us to afford.
