Curry rice is another toothsome Japanese grub that you can find almost everywhere across Bangkok. Besides offering high-quality crispy meats and rich curry, some curry rice joints have interesting deals to challenge their customers like speed eating competitions.

15-minute giant curry rice challenge

Some meals are so delicious that we keep chowing them down till we can’t walk – so being offered loads of our favourite food for free can be super enticing.

Gold Curry Bangkok, a curry rice restaurant in Bangkok, loves to challenge their customers with their famous eating contest. The only rule is very easy: if you finish 2kg of curry rice in 15 minutes or less, you can get it for free – and this Youtuber known as Nat from Eater CNX has made it look like a piece of cake.

The fastest timing ever recorded was 4 years ago at 3:02 mins, and this man intended to break it. He also said, “if I can’t do it, you [subscribers] can just simply unsubscribe me.”

Once the timer began, he started eating like he didn’t even have to chew!

He successfully broke the previous record with his fast performance, clocking in at only 1:58 min.

He also mentioned in the video that he will come back to the store for the 4-kg challenge.

Gold Curry Battlefield

If you’re feeling confident and want to find out how big your tummy is, Gold Curry Bangkok has over 10 locations across the city.

Not everyone can eat like horse. So, make sure you can handle the amount of food you’ve ordered. Or else, you might K.O. and need a stretcher to get back home.

Head down and see if you can beat Nat’s record!
