With the escalating situation, however, there are also those at home who are unable to reach out for medical assistance.

Here’s the story of a mother who waved for help from her condo balcony after she and her one year-old toddler tested positive for Covid-19.

Toddler’s mother waves for help from the balcony

On 22nd February 2022, 26 year-old Ms. Napatsornin was spotted waving for help from her condo balcony while holding her one year-old daughter.

Following their RT-PCR test, the woman and her daughter received positive Covid-19 results on 18th February 2022. The two had to self-quarantine at home due to the bed shortage.

Later, the toddler developed severe symptoms such as coughing, vomiting, and having high fever. The mother then contacted the press to help her and her daughter find the hospital.

According to Sanook, the two were reportedly taken to a field hospital.

Netizens send mother & daughter encouragement

After the story was shared as a post online, many Facebook users sent their encouragement to the mother.

Translation: I hope you receive help soon and that you and your daughter recover quickly. 

One netizen wished sent good wishes to the mother and her daughter.

Translation: Call Public Health Ministry. The authority said there are sufficient beds.

Another netizen suggested calling to Public Health Ministry.

Translation: Contanct Paknam Hospital. My 2 year-old child and 5 year-old kid also tested positive for Covid-19. Hang in there. Everybody will get through this.

One Facebook user suggested contacting the hospital where his children had received treatments and send the mother encouragement to not give up.

The press did an admirable job in helping the mother and the daughter find a hospital where they could receive treatment.
