MBK Has A New Cafe Where You Can Watch Movies In The Theatre While Having Coffee & Croissants

Cinema cafe in Bangkok

It seems that cafes in Thailand have been fusing experiences to create a unique identity while giving their visitors the crème de la crème of times like animal cafes that take away the troubles of travelling and being in the hot weather by bringing the zoo to you in a pleasant cafe setting.

Opened just last month, Cinecafe is the first cafe to offer a full cinematic experience wherein you can watch movies on a large screen from sofa seats as well as having croissants instead of popcorn in the famous shopping mall, MBK Center.

More cafes with an edge:

One stop movie theatre and cafe

At Cinecafe, movie tickets can be found on the menu apart from drinks and snacks at ฿350 (~USD11) per seat from Monday to Wednesday, and ฿400 (~USD13) per seat from Thursday to Sunday – each ticket includes a complimentary drink.

The cafe sits on the 7th Floor of the mall and is part of SF Cinema, which is the reason why you’ll get to watch the latest movies in a mini theatre provided by the cinema itself. The highlights include a sound system of Dolby Digital Surround 7.1, automatic adjustable sofa seats, USB charging outlets, as well as a blanket for every seat.

At the cafe – now a new waiting area for moviegoers – ‘seasonal’ coffee drinks are offered in addition to the classic menu with the special drinks made in alignment with the movie that is showing at the time.

On the snack menu, croissants are offered instead of popcorn and is considered a must-try of the cafe.

Cinecafe is basically a place where you can have more than just a-cup-of-coffee kind of time.

A French cinematic experience

Munching on popcorn followed by a sip of coca cola at the movies is definitely an American classic that we’ll never gonna stop enjoying. But if you’re looking for a healthier option, then a French style of coffee and croissant at Cinecafe might just be the answer for you.
