Chula Art Town Is Bangkok’s Newest IG Spot With Colourful Murals And Street Art

Chula Art Town at Bangkok

To celebrate the 36th anniversary of Chulalongkorn University’s (Chula) Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, the school has come up with Chula Art Town – a collective concept to improve the community surrounding the campus.

This involves vibrant murals that bring the neighbourhood to life, with the selected areas being Suanluang, Samyam, and Siam. This is done in collaboration with spray paint brand ATM Spray, Urai Panich, and a team of street artists and Chula students and professors.

Over 50 participating artists

There have been over 50 street artists, both Thai and International, who have come together to create unique masterpieces for this initiative, like Piyasak “Muay” Khiaosaard – the the artist behind the Stranger Things mural which popped up at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in 2017.

Here are some murals you should be on the lookout for:

The initiative also plans to conduct a video contest from September to October – stay tuned on ATM Spray’s Facebook page for more details which will be released soon.
