Tasty spicy mala dishes
Everything is self-service here, so go ahead and browse their selection of yummy skewers
Once we stepped inside, we were free to take a look at the huge refrigerator to select any food items that we wanted from over 40 items, including pork and chicken meat, meatballs, and vegetables. The price ranges from ฿8 – ฿39 ( ~USD0.25 – 1.25) per item.
After getting all the items you like, select how you want to cook your meal, from classic grilling, boiling hotpot, or a crispy deep-fry. Then choose the level of spiciness: low, medium, and high.
We chose the medium-heat level for our hotpot and grilled mala. The grilled items on sticks were juicy and smoky, they were also perfectly coated in the heat-packed mala seasoning.
As for the hotpot, the soup was fiery enough to keep you warm until the next day, but it had a subtle sweetness that helped balance the spice as well.
Don’t forget to fetch yourself some sesame-soybean sauce to accompany your grilled items. And if you can’t get enough of the mala, there is also additional mala paste to add to your dishes.
