New Chao Phraya express boats
The boat cruise along Chao Phraya River is definitely a fun trip you should experience when in Bangkok.
If you are worried about the hot weather and water splashing on you, you can opt for the new Riva Express – air-conditioned boats that will bring commuters from Bangkok to Nonthaburi for only ฿50.
Only 30 minutes from Bangkok to Nonthaburi
Riva Express is a new service by Chao Phraya Express Boat and it’s the very first time that the company is bringing its commuters around with air-conditioned boats.

The boats will run from 9.45AM to 4.15PM every day from Nonthaburi Pier to Sathorn Pier, taking around 30 minutes per trip. This is much quicker than the older rides, which take around an hour.
The Riva Express will stop at 8 main piers which are connected to the sky train system including:
- Bang Po Pier
- Kiak Kai Pier
- Thewet Pier
- Wang Lang Pier
- Rajinee Pier
- Ratchavongse Pier
- ICONSIAM Pier
- Sathorn Pier (Saphan Taksin BTS)
The ticket costs ฿50 for the entire trip, and you can experience this boat cruise at only ฿30 during its trial from now until further notice.

If you don’t have any plans this weekend, chill out and enjoy the river vibes – you can even visit some interesting attractions along the way.
