Thai celebrity trainer arrested for stealing snacks in Phuket

While those are common reasons for theft, the urge to steal from some individuals may also come from hardships they’re facing in life.

Shoplifter arrested for stealing snacks in Phuket
On 16th March 2022, a 31-year-old Australian man was arrested in Krabi for stealing snacks from a shop named ‘Kin-Kit-Fin’ in Phuket.

The arrest was made following the incident caught on a security CCTV footage within the snack shop on Sunday, 13th March 2022. The footage showed the man and his friends shoplifting, while posing as customers prior to leaving the shop with unpaid snacks.

After investigations, a man was placed under arrest by local police at Ao Nam Mao Pier, Krabi. The suspected thief was identified as Aaron Jerome Madeira, a fitness trainer who had experience training many Thai celebrities.

He confessed to the theft later on, revealing that he had been under a lot of stress and wanted a “reprieve” from constant troubles in his life, according to The Phuket News.

After the news story was reported on the Facebook page, Phuketandamannews, many netizens commented on the thief’s good looks.

One Facebook user commented that regardless of his good looks, the man ultimately had to face the penalty for what he did.

One netizen said that her neighbour wanted to know how much she had to pay to bail the man out of jail.

Finally, others praised the police for doing a good job with tracking the culprit across provinces.
Stealing is not the answer
We think this story teaches us that stealing items has larger consequences than the intended effect in this case – to provide a ‘reprieve’ from our struggles in life.
We really hope that the man has learned an important lesson in his life and won’t repeat his mistake again in the future.
