Black bear caught sneaking into a house in Khao Yai National Park
We can’t imagine what we would do if we suspect someone of sneaking into our house during the night. Of course, we would call the police because we’d think there’s a burglar in our house stealing our stuff, but how to act on the scene would be over our head, especially if that’s a black bear.
This story is about a black bear being caught sneaking into a national park’s housing and foraging for food in Khao Yai. The man in the house managed to record a video of it before it ran away afterwards.

On 29th August, 2022, a man reportedly caught a black bear sneaking into the house and searching for food in the kitchen during the night. He said the he was on the way to the toilet and noticed a shadow, so he grabbed his phone to shine a light towards it.
He then saw a black bear foraging in the kitchen, according to ThaiPBS.
Shortly after, the bear walked outdoors to ransack a trash can, observed the man after he decided to follow it out of curiosity. The black bear happened to make eye contact with him and ran away in fright, reported ThaiPBS.
Hungry bears are a surprising sight in Khao Yai
For most people, seeing a bear inside the house can freak them out. That’s because we know that bears – when angered – are dangerous animals that can attack you.
Nevertheless, this man had the balls to follow the animal and record it in the video. Thankfully, the bear ran away in the end and didn’t cause much damage to the house or towards him. FYI, if you see a bear in the national park during your vacation, make sure you notify relevant authorities.
