As Bangkok’s temperature dipped and had city folk rejoicing, people in the northern regions of the country are facing a harsher winter as the temperature went as low as -1 ํ on the mountains and 10 ํ in Chiang Mai city during the past few weeks.

Since not all people are fortunate enough to keep themselves warm at home, a group of bikers named “Shut Up & Ride” took matters into their hands. They rode around town to give away blankets, clothes, and food to homeless people in need.

Aside from Shut Up & Ride, other people were also doing their part to help.

Earlier this week, Mr. Veerayuth Suwan, another motorist, had asked for clothes and blankets from his friends on Facebook and gave them away to poor people in Chiang Mai and neighbouring provinces.
