Following the announcement, the designed models were released so the public would get a glimpse of what the park would look like when the project is finished in 2022, as the department said.

Benjakitti Park is located right next to Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre which is also connected to the MRT Station of the same name.

City’s forest and swamp

Looking at the model pictures, the park will look significantly more like a forest, complete with a huge swamp for animals like birds and fish to reside in. It is estimated that more than 10,000 trees will be planted here.

Visitors will also be allowed to tour the giant swamp in a small boat – isn’t that romantic?!

Apart from leisure purposes, the park will become a sports hub for all Bangkokians with an indoor gym, complete with badminton courts and a table tennis area.

And good news for cyclists; the project will include a bicycle lane throughout the lush park with trees and colourful flowers views along the way.

Can we fast forward to 2022 already, because this park looks spectacular!
