What to order:

Hom Mheun Lhee

For solo eaters, start off with Bak Kut Teh Size S (฿150, ~$5). This rich soup doesn’t only contain chunks of braised pork, but it also features some more additional ingredients like mushroom, entrails, enoki mushrooms, and tofu skin.

Hungry eaters can go bigger by getting Bak Kut Teh Size L (฿300, ~$10) that comes with double the portion of the Size S.

If you prefer adding some crispy textures to your meal, try Pa Tong Go (฿25, ~$1), deep-fried dough sticks which you can either have on the side or soak in your soup – just like how it’s eaten in Malaysia!

The broth is extremely rich, and all the ingredients are tender from being braised in the soup. There is also a nice flavour of Chinese herbs, meaning it’s got good health benefits too!

Also in the must-try list is Kana Hong Kong Rad Namman Hoi (฿59, ~$2), fresh Chinese kale that’s stir-fried with oyster sauce. This is a good side dish to have along with your bak kut teh and adds a fresh element to your meal.

Clear your throat with some Grass Jelly (฿35, ~$1) that comes with syrup and a drizzle of brown sugar if you want something sweet – or, you can choose Hot Chinese Tea (฿30, ~$1).
