Bang Sue Grand Station in Bangkok

Hua Lumpong station in Bangkok is often mentioned in travel guide books and travellers love hopping aboard trains there. Sadly, the station is going to be closed and converted into a museum next year.

But here’s some good news for travellers and locals that’s going to make your travels even more epic and convenient. Bangkok’s brand new Bang Sue Grand Station is now complete, with additional platforms opening in late 2021.

There will be a high-speed railway platform with four tracks which will connect the Airport Rail Link, paving way for easy travelling between Don Mueang International Airport, Suvarnabhumi International Airport and U-Tapao International Airport.

Bangkok’s also known for its congestion and sluggish commuter trains, which are a headache for long rides. This mega station will also have long-distance routes with electric commuter trains that’ll make your commutes more sabai sabai and time saving.

One of the commuter trains will be on the Red Line that’ll run between Bang Sue and Rang Sit and lessen heavy congestion. The public test runs will start from March 2021 until the official opening slated to be in November 2021.

Going around Thailand can be a little time consuming, especially if you want to hop on the trains and explore the country’s beautiful landscapes and culture.

These ambitious developments will improve Southeast Asia’s economy and may become the region’s Eurostar.
