As reported on Bangkokbiznews, Prof. Dr. Sawitri Assanangkornchai from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation shared that there are over 1 million alcoholics in Thailand, with around 50,000 to 100,000 having severe symptoms.

They are in need of close care and treatment in order to prevent any complications that could lead to death. Such treatments can help encourage people to decrease their alcohol intake, until they are able to be completely sober without experiencing extreme side effects.

In severe cases, patients can have symptoms like sweating, shaking, anxiety, vomiting, nausea, confusion, rapid heartbeat, or hallucinations. If you find yourself experiencing any of these side effects, proper treatment is essential.
