Drive-thru COVID-19 test in Bangkok
Studies show that the incubation period for the COVID-19 virus can take up to or longer than 14 days before any symptoms show. Moreover, there have been cases of people being tested positive for the virus despite being asymptomatic.
So, people need to ensure they’re in good health, especially those coming back from overseas or who have been in high-risk situations. As such, various hospitals in Bangkok offer COVID-19 testing.
Vibhavadi Hospital has joined the list and now offers a drive-thru service which is convenient and will have your results ready within just 24 hours.

More convenient, safer, and quicker
With Vibhavadi’s Hospital drive-thru test, you won’t need to step out of the car the entire time. Hospital staff will collect samples from one’s nasal cavity and throat for lab testing and send results within 24 hours via SMS text.
The service can support around 150-200 customers per day and costs ฿6,500 per test.
If you are tested positive, the hospital will then refer you to the necessary medical institutes for treatment.
This process is considered to be safer because you don’t need to be in a crowd while waiting for your turn, which is in line with social distancing measures that are being recommended.
The sooner, the better
The drive-thru service is at Building No.4 of Vibhavadi Hospital and is available from 8AM – 6PM everyday.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms and have been in high-risk situations such as large crowds or recent travels, it is best to get tested as soon as you can. That way, you can receive prompt medical care if needed.
And if you’ve already been tested, do not be complacent. Continue to stay safe and practice the necessary safety measures to keep you and your loved ones healthy.
