Lung Two Restaurant, or Uncle Two Restaurant, is owned by 70-year-old grandpa Surapan “Two” Thiratada who locals are familiar with as Uncle Two.

Uncle Two used to work as a waiter in a hotel, where he observed, learned, and memorised the cooking methods from the hotel chefs to start his own restaurant.

Uncle Two also informed Facebook page Chevit Tidreview that he started selling food at ฿3, then ฿5, and has been offering meals at ฿10 for the last 20 years or so. He also insisted that the price won’t be changed as long as he keeps cooking here.

To Uncle Two, his customers are like his family members and he wants to give them good and delicious food to eat. He and customers support each other, and he’d like it to be like this until the last day of his life.

What customers can order at ฿10 is Pork Basil With Rice, Kuay Tiew Rat Na (fried noodles in gravy), Spicy Stir-Fried Pork, and Fried Pork With Garlic

Uncle Two also has a selection of made-to-order dishes starting from ฿30, which is still super cheap.

The portion, paired with the passion Uncle Two has for his business, makes visiting his stall a must-do while in Bangkok..

If you are around ICONSIAM, you can take 10-min taxi ride to support Uncle Two at the shop.

We wish for uncle to have more and more customers!
